About This Project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project for Mayo County Council in Claremont, Claremorris Commenced in August 2019 and was completed in November 2019.

The project consisted of the following:

• The development, establishment and execution of traffic management and pedestrian control measures along with the extent of the works.
• The careful removal of existing roadside stone walls.
• The construction of new roadside boundary stone walls with suitable concrete foundations.
• The construction of new footpaths.
• The widening of existing footpaths.
• The installation of a new surface water drainage system including gullies, chambers etc.
• The laying of new ductwork for street lighting.
• The erection of new street lighting poles.

Works were completed with continuous reviews of the traffic management plans which had to be updated to suit the works in various areas of Claremont, whether opposite the local school or outside the driveway of private residences.
