Ballina Windows

About This Project

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project for Mayo County Council was completed in November 2019.

The purpose of this project was to return Pearse Street in Ballina to its original state by carefully removing any modern PVC windows and replacing them with ‘of the period’ timber sash windows. Any original windows were removed and refurbished off-site before being re-installed. Exiting metal railings were refurbished and replaced as required, including the original “fleur-de-lis” features.
Stone repairs were carried out as required to any reveals.

Relationships were developed with affected business owners to allow access to their properties and for the erection of scaffolds at shop entrances.
